What will we learn?
In the Agony & Ecstasy of Intimacy seminars couples will gain new insights
that will help them to understand that marriage is not something that was contrived
merely in order for a man and a woman to find mutual satisfaction in each other.
Although it certainly includes that, it is much more. In his book, Mere Christianity,
C.S. Lewis put it well when he said, "God designed the human machine to run on
Himself." Many marriages are suffering from emptiness because
they are not availing of the Divine fuel that impels purpose and meaning into
every human relationship.
The Bible teaches that marriage is God's idea and that it reaches far beyond
the physical bonding of two individuals. It is the handiwork of a loving God
who made us with a capacity to love each other in such a unique and intimate
way that it is a reflection of His love for the church.
Learning strategies are introduced for improving communication,
resolving conflict, and developing a more intimate relationship. In addition,
participants will be able to:
